Hi, I'm Alex Sosa.
I'm a technology consultant and product builder with more than 23 years of experience turning business needs into software that works in the real world.
Builder first
I studied Systems and Computer Engineering and started out writing software. Early on I built social games and multi-device applications, including Virtual Tejo, a Facebook game that reached more than 85,000 daily active users, and award-winning Smart TV apps.
Founder
In 2013 I founded Appsolution in Tunja, Colombia. Over six years the studio delivered more than 100 projects and grew to teams of up to 80 people. Running a company taught me what technology is really for: solving client problems within real budgets and deadlines.
Technology leader
Since 2019 I've worked as Tech & Product Lead for LendingPoint, a US fintech, leading frontend development and coordinating the delivery of web and mobile products into production, where reliability and timelines both matter.
Today
I complemented that experience with an AI Product Management Specialization from Duke University (2025), followed by intensive hands-on work with AI-assisted development and automation. I use that way of working to build my own SaaS products and to help clients move faster with less risk.
Teacher
I've also taught at university level, covering web, mobile, and game development as well as project management, at Universidad Santo Tomás and Fundación Universitaria Juan de Castellanos in Tunja.
